Clockwork Moon
The Cylindraphone is what I call it. It is an Idiophone:( an instrument the whole of which vibrates to produce a sound when struck, shaken, or scraped, such as a bell, gong, or rattle.)
it is made from an old propane tank, the kind you use on your grill. the top and bottom are welded together, and tongues of various lengths and widths are cut into the upper side. it is laboriously tuned, and when its done just right, it is AWESOME! Believe me, each of my Cylindraphones are ONE OF A KIND. You won’t find another like it anywhere!

This one is perhaps my personal favorite. made from an old rusted tank, it reminded me of the pockmarked face of our Moon. Added clockwork elements from a pocket watch I own to give it a Steam Punk flair.
